| Let's Make It Easy...

While Water2Drink offers many Multi-Pure® products from which
to choose to filter your water, the following questions and
recommendations will make the selection process much easier
for you.
1. Do you need the most economical, lowest-priced filter?
We recommend the Aqua
Dome (MPAD) with
a list purchase price of $224.95 plus shipping.
2. How much countertop space can you spare?
Countertop units are very easy to install on
a standard kitchen faucet, and they are easy to relocate
to another
sink, if needed. These units do take up countertop space
next to the sink and they are always visible. The Multi-Pure®
Countertop units include the following models, which are
ranked from least to most expensive:
MPCT - countertop-only
Aqua Dome (MPAD) – countertop-only
MP 750 SC – countertop,
but may be converted to below-the-sink unit
MP880 SC – countertop-only
3. Do you want a temporary or permanent installation?
Below-the-Sink units are more permanent than
the countertop units, and are well suited for people who
own their own home.
The Below-the-Sink units are mounted under the sink and tap
directly into the kitchen cold water supply. The units are
mounted out of sight with only a faucet visible at the sink.
The Multi-Pure® Below-the-Sink units include the following
models, which are ranked from least to most expensive:
MP 750 SB – includes faucet
MP 1200 EL – includes
capacity-metered faucet
MP 880 SB – includes faucet
MP 880 EL – includes capacity-metered
faucet
4.
How much water do you expect to use?
Each of the Multi-Pure® units has a rated capacity in gallons
of water filtered. This is the rated capacity of the filter
cartridge before the cartridge must be replaced with a new
one.
MPCT - Approximately 750 gallons
MP
880 SC / SB – Approximately
600 gallons
Aqua Dome (MPAD) – Approximately
750 gallons
MP 750 SC / SB – Approximately
750 gallons
MP 880 EL – Approximately
960 gallons
MP 1200 EL – Approximately
1,200 gallons
MP 750 SI - Approximately 750 gallons
MP 880 SI - Approximately 600 gallons
5.
Do you plan to connect an icemaker to your water filter?
You should consider only the Below-the-Sink
units if you plan to connect an icemaker directly to the
unit. The units
designated “SI” in the model number are designed
for just such applications. However, all of the Multi-Pure®
Below-the-Sink units can be installed with a T-fitting to
allow connection of both a faucet and an icemaker.
6. Do you have Arsenic
in your water?
If you have a problem with Arsenic
V contamination in your water supply,
you should only consider using the
Multi-Pure®
MP 880 SC, MP 880 SB, MP
880 EL or
MP 880 SI units.
7.
Do you have a heavy mineral problem in your water, such
as excessive calcium or iron?
Most Multi-Pure® units do not remove healthy
minerals that naturally occur in your water supply. However,
if you have
unusually heavy amounts of minerals in your water, or if
you need to remove minerals for health-related reasons, you
should consider using the Multi-Pure®
MPRO Reverse Osmosis unit. The MPRO combines reverse osmosis technology with Multi-Pure®’s
solid carbon block filtration.
8.
Do you want to be reminded when it’s time to replace
the cartridge?
If you would like to precisely monitor the
time to replace your filter cartridge and extend the life
of the cartridge,
you should consider using the Multi-Pure® models MP
1200 EL or MP
880 EL.
9.
Is the chlorine or other chemicals in your water drying
out your skin and hair?
If you are concerned about removing chlorine
and other contaminants from the water in which you shower,
you should consider using
the Multi-Pure®
SFFH shower filter attachment. To treat all
showers and water used throughout the home, consider using
the Multi-Pure® TO 15000 Whole
House Water Treatment System or the new Multi-Pure® TO
30000 Whole House Water Treatment System.
Please note that the Whole House Water Treatment System is
not an effective replacement for the sub-micron point-of-use
drinking water filtration units, but is used in combination
with a drinking water filter.
