The Multi-Pure® EF8 Emergency Filter System is a great filter to have on hand for backpacking, camping, or to use in an emergency. The EF8 Emergency Filter System comes with the tubes and connectors necessary to operate it. The filter functions via siphoning, and no pump or power is required to operate it.
This filter is suitable for converting water that already has been disinfected to fresh, clean drinking water. The useful life span of the filter will vary depending on the level of contamination in the source water. Under ideal conditions where the source water is free from high levels of chemicals, heavy metals and other contaminants, the filter may last up to 100 gallons. However, if there is a high level of sediment, the filter may clog prematurely.
