*Depending upon which unit is being used.
MP1200EL has 1200 gallon capacity. MP750SB, MP750SC, MPAD,
and MPCT all have 750 gallon capacities. MP880SB and MP880SC
have 600-gallon rated capacity.
**According to Hamilton and Whitney's
Nutrition, "soft water [water with the minerals removed]
appears to contribute to a higher incidence of hypertension
and heart disease in areas where it is used. Hard water [that
retains its beneficial, naturally-occurring minerals] may
oppose these conditions."
Look for Certification
When choosing a drinking water
treatment system, be sure to check the system for certification.
Multi-Pure® Drinking Water Systems are certified by National
Sanitation Foundation (NSF).
The product should provide a
statement that lists exactly which contaminants the filter
is certified to reduce under
which ANSI/NSF Standard (Standard 42: Aesthetic Effects or “taste
and odor,” and Standard 53: Health Effects, like Cryptosporidium,
lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), and disinfection
by-products). Make sure the filter is Certified by checking
product information provided or checking NSF’s listings.
